Graduate Description

Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Education is one of the long-established educational study programs in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program S1 was founded in July 1979, and on July 11 1996 officially obtained the Decree for the Establishment of the Study Program from the Director General of Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number 244/DIKTI/KEP/1996.

Study Program Achievements
The Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program has had outstanding graduate achievements with an average GPA of 3.00 in the last four years, the results of the graduation thesis grades have earned an A or B grade. This achievement is also offset by the large number of graduates absorbed in employment as teaching staff, working in industry or entrepreneurship where the waiting period for graduates to get a job is not too long. Graduate users also stated that they were satisfied with the performance of alumni from the mechanical engineering education study program.
Apart from being in the fields of study and work, the mechanical engineering education study program also has proud achievements at the national level, namely winning PIMNAS several times. The last achievement at the national level was at the 2011 PIMNAS in the field of written ideas entitled Smart Flying Float.

Supporting Facilities
Mechanical engineering education study program has adequate supporting facilities, for example the availability of equipment with the latest technology in the machining and production laboratories, the availability of teleconference and micro teaching rooms and wifi facilities in the campus area. With all these supporting facilities, it is expected to be able to provide benefits for students to explore science and technology in the field of mechanical engineering.
To strengthen the learning process, the mechanical engineering education study program already has a network of cooperation with national-scale companies engaged in the automotive and engineering fields. With this collaboration, it will be easier for students to gain experience about the industrial world and the suitability of learning with the needs of the industrial world.

Self Development Opportunities
Mechanical engineering education study program provides broad opportunities for student development. Student independence and creativity are also explored through various activities including: (a) Automotive Skill Competition (ASC), (b) Mechanic Skill Competition (MSC), (c) faculty level exhibition (April Integrated), (d) regional level exhibition ( Unnes Anniversary, Central Java Education Office) and nationally, (e) Scientific Work Competition (LKI), Student Writing Competition (LKTM), Student Creativity Program (PKM), and National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS), savings workshops held regularly every year.

Competence of graduates
In general, the competencies possessed by alumni of the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program are mastering pedagogic, personality, social and professional competencies in order to become professional teachers with mechanical engineering skills and being able to apply knowledge in the field of engineering. In more detail, the competencies of graduates of the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program are as follows:
1. Main Competency; (a) able to master mechanical engineering science and technology who has social sensitivity, a strong and polite personality, and able to communicate well, (b) able to carry out education in an effort to prepare human resources in the field of mechanical engineering who are superior and relevant to market needs as well as upholding conservation values, (c) being able to carry out research with full responsibility in developing science and technology in the field of Mechanical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Education, (d) being able to transfer science and technology in the field of Mechanical Engineering to society without abandoning the principles education with conservation character, and (e) being able to develop entrepreneurship in the field of Mechanical Engineering that is religious, honest and cares for others.

2. Supporting Competency; (a) capable of mastering managerial skills in a Mechanical Engineering laboratory, workshop or workshop by upholding the values of honesty, nationalism, democracy and responsibility, (b) able to intelligently and politely write/edit manuscripts of scientific journals in the field of mechanical engineering , (c) able to plan and develop laboratories, workshops, and mechanical engineering workshops (d) able to develop entrepreneurship in the field of mechanical engineering based on concern for others.

3. Other Competency; (a) able to apply Information and Communication Technology that can support their duties and functions in the field of Mechanical Engineering, (b) able to apply innovative and up-to-date learning media in the learning process
