Two students from the Management study program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Negeri Semarang (Asna Salsabila & Hanina Humaira), had the opportunity to attend The Business Show Asia in Singapore on August 28-29, 2024. They also conducted the soft launch of their innovative platform, CAREER UPGRADE (Instagram: @cu.career).
CAREER UPGRADE, focused on optimizing individual and organizational career potential, offers integrated solutions in the form of soft skills and hard skills training for beginners and professionals. It also provides a job search platform that is inclusive and accessible to job seekers with special needs (disabilities), along with career ecosystem development services. The platform also offers CV and portfolio creation and review services, aiming to help professionals better prepare for the increasingly competitive job market.
The presence of the two FEB UNNES Management students at the event is expected to provide inspiration and new knowledge that they can apply to their own career development and benefit the campus community.
Notable industry figures such as Mr. Rohan Dhanuka (Industry Head at Google) and Mr. Vineet Agarwal (CEO of Validus Capital) were also present at the event, sharing insights on the importance of career development in the digital era. The event opened collaboration opportunities between CAREER UPGRADE and various parties to expand access to optimal career resources.
CAREER UPGRADE concluded the event with a pitch to potential partners, hoping to build future collaborations to support optimal career resource development. The FEB UNNES students are also expected to bring back new knowledge and valuable networking opportunities that can be applied within the academic environment.
