The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) proudly announces the upcoming public lecture titled “Cooperative Governance as the Key to Successful Development of People’s Economy,” scheduled for September 24, 2024. This lecture will feature Fahmi S. Alatas, Head of Office at PT. Tower Bersama Infrastructure Group TBK, as the keynote speaker.
This event is a result of a teaching collaboration between FEB UNNES and the industry partner, Tower Bersama Infrastructure Group. The partnership aims to provide students with broader insights into the importance of cooperative governance in the context of developing a people’s economy. By inviting experienced practitioners like Fahmi S. Alatas, it is hoped that students will gain a direct understanding of how the theories taught in class are applied in real-world practices.
During this public lecture, Fahmi S. Alatas will discuss various aspects of cooperative governance, including organizational structure, financial management, and development strategies that cooperatives can implement to achieve success. Participants are expected to gain a deep understanding of how cooperatives can play a vital role in improving community welfare and promoting local economic growth.
“This public lecture is a valuable opportunity for students to learn from the experiences of practitioners who have made significant contributions to the industry. We hope that through this activity, students will not only acquire theoretical knowledge but also learn how to apply it in real contexts,” said the Dean of FEB UNNES.
This event is expected to open students’ eyes to the realities of the industrial world and inspire them to enter the workforce after completing their education. With teaching collaborations like this, FEB UNNES is committed to bridging the gap between theory and practice, preparing students to become professionals ready to face the challenges of the working world.
The public lecture is open to all students of the Faculty of Economics and Business UNNES and the general public interested in the topic. With a relevant theme and a competent speaker, this event is expected to contribute positively to students’ understanding of the role of cooperatives in the people’s economy.
