The Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Negeri Semarang (FEB UNNES) sent eight lecturers to deliver guest lectures at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Hasanuddin (FEB UNHAS), as part of a teaching collaboration program between state universities with legal entity status (PTN-BH). The two-day event, held from September 25-26, 2024, marks a significant step in strengthening academic collaboration between the two institutions.
The eight delegates from FEB UNNES represent all study programs within the faculty, bringing expertise from various fields. Each lecturer will teach eight different subjects at FEB UNHAS, including Introduction to Management, Introduction to Business, Human Resource Management (HRM), Leadership, Natural Resource Economics, Development Economics, Sustainable Accounting, and Intermediate Accounting.
Multidisciplinary Teaching Collaboration
This guest lecture aims to broaden the horizons and learning experiences of FEB UNHAS students by bringing in lecturers with specialized knowledge from FEB UNNES. Each lecturer delivers materials according to their area of expertise, enriching the classroom with fresh perspectives. The lectures are conducted as part of the regular academic schedule at FEB UNHAS, giving students the opportunity to learn directly from guest lecturers and deepen their understanding of the eight subjects.
The program also serves as a platform for FEB UNNES lecturers to share their teaching and research experiences, while introducing innovative educational approaches implemented at UNNES to students and academics at UNHAS. It is hoped that this guest lecture series will strengthen academic networks and open up further collaboration opportunities in teaching, research, and community service.
Hopes for Academic Collaboration
This partnership reflects the commitment of both FEB UNNES and FEB UNHAS to improving the quality of education through academic collaboration. Through the exchange of knowledge and experiences, both students and lecturers from the two faculties can learn from each other and gain valuable insights. This guest lecture program is expected to enrich students’ academic perspectives, enhance lecturers’ teaching capacities, and pave the way for future collaborations.
This initiative aligns with the efforts to strengthen the role of PTN-BH in fostering innovative and adaptive higher education in response to global challenges. In the future, FEB UNNES and FEB UNHAS plan to expand their cooperation, not only in teaching but also in joint research and community service programs.
