UNNES Commemorates Pancasila Sanctity Day Ceremony 2020

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 1, 2020

All leaders of the Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) participated in the implementation of the Pancasila Sanctity Day ceremony in 2020 virtually on Thursday (1/10).

The commemoration ceremony, which was displayed live through the Youtube channel of the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud), is a special momentum in interpreting Pancasila as the state ideology. Apart from being the state ideology, Pancasila is also believed to have powerful basic values that unite the nation and state.

In this activity which was attended by the leaders, lecturers, education staff, and UNNES students, the ceremony was led directly by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo.

As a tangible manifestation and full support for Pancasila as the state ideology, UNNES will continue to maintain Pancasila Education as a course to support student character building. At UNNES, Pancasila Education is a compulsory subject for students in all faculties and study programs.

Based on the guidelines for organizing the Pancasila Sanctity Day commemoration ceremony in 2020 issued by the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud), the commemoration ceremony this time carries the theme “Indonesia Based on Pancasila”.

“Let us, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, remain productive, still make the best contribution. This momentum is a golden moment, that even though we are in the middle of the pandemic, we must still maintain the unity and integrity of the nation based on Pancasila, “explained Prof. Fathur. The Sociolinguistics professor hopes that this year’s Pancasila Sanctity Day commemoration will be the right momentum to continue to increase the spirit of collective work based on Pancasila in order to realize UNNES which has a conservation perspective and has an international reputation.
