Sosialisasi di MA Banat Kudus, UNNES Undang Siswa Perempuan Gabung Prodi Olahraga dan Teknik

Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) mendorong perempuan lebih banyak terlibat di bidang keolahragaan dan teknik. Hal itu diperlukan supaya dunia olahraga dan teknik yang selama ini cenderung didominasi laki-laki lebih akomodatif terhadap peran serta dan aspirasi perempuan.

Untuk mewujudkan itu, UNNES mempromosikan prodi-prodi keolahragaan dan teknik kepada siswi MA NU Banat Kudus, Kamis (6/8). MA NU Banat adalah sekolah khusus perempuan yang berlokasi di Kudus dan memiliki siswa dari berbagai daerah di Indonesia.

Promosi yang dilakukan UNNES dilakukan dengan menjabarkan kurikulum prodi dan prospek karier dua bidang tersebut bagi Perempuan. Selanjutnya, diskusi dilakukan untuk mengubah persepsi dan stereotip bahwa olahraga dan teknik mesin hanya cocok dilakukan oleh lak-laki.

Selain itu, siswa juga diberi kesempatan mencoba mengoperasikan alat ukur di bidang keolahragaan dan teknik untuk menunjukkan perkembangan teknologi mesin dan olahraga yang sangat ramah dengan perempuan.

Sebanyak 338 siswa kelas XII di SMA NU Banat menyambut baik promosi tersebut. Ketersediaan role model perempuan membuat mereka termotivasi untuk belajar di bidang itu.

“Kami membuka kesempatan selebar-lebarnya agar siswi berpartisipasi lebih besar di bidang olahraga dan teknik. Dua bidang itu memiliki peluang yang bagus bagi Perempuan,” kata Kepala Humas UNNES Dr. Surahmat.

Dosen Pendidikan Teknik Mesin UNNES Kaleb Priyanto menandaskan bahwa teknik tidak selalu identic dengan kerja lapangan yang keras dan kotor. Pada level sarjana, siswi yang tertarik teknik didik pada level perancangan dan analisis. Dengan demikian, bidang Teknik sama dengan bidang lain.

Hal yang sama disampaikan Wiga Nurlatifa dari Prodi Pendidikan Kepelatihan Olahraga. Ia mengundang siswi ke bidang olahraga karena peluangnya sangat terbuka, tidak hanya menjadi atlet, tetapi juga pelatih dan personal trainer.

“Saat ini duna olahraga sangat terbika bagi Perempuan sehingga kalian tidak perlu khawatir untuk memasukinya,” katanya.
