Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), through its Directorate of Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Conservation, organized the 2026 Development Program for KIP-K and Affirmation Scholarship Recipients on Monday (May 11, 2026). The program was designed to strengthen students’ motivation, character, and academic readiness so they can achieve outstanding performance while completing their studies on time.
A total of 1,267 students receiving KIP-K and Affirmation scholarships participated in the program. The participants received guidance on self-development, learning motivation, and the importance of building strong character as impactful and high-achieving students.
Vice Rector I of UNNES, Prof. Dr. Zaenuri, M.Si., Akt., emphasized that scholarship recipients must strive to become accomplished students who create positive impacts while remaining focused on graduating on schedule.
“KIP-K students must take smart steps by excelling academically, actively participating in organizations, and being prepared to graduate on time. The scholarship is not merely financial assistance, but also a responsibility that must be honored through dedication to learning, discipline, and continuous self-improvement,” he stated.
He further explained that scholarship recipients are expected to contribute positively both on campus and within society. According to him, students are not only required to excel academically but must also actively develop their capacities through organizational involvement, leadership, and social activities.
“Students must have the courage to grow and be prepared to face challenges. Become individuals who are not only successful for themselves, but also capable of creating positive impacts and benefits for the surrounding community,” he added.
Through this program, UNNES hopes that KIP-K and Affirmation scholarship recipients will become outstanding individuals who are not only academically successful, but also able to contribute meaningfully to society while completing their studies on time.
In addition to receiving guidance from the Vice Rector I of UNNES, the students also participated in sharing sessions with Vice Deans I from all faculties at UNNES. The event also featured Sepi, a student and graduate of UNNES’ French international program, as an inspirational speaker.
During the session, Sepi shared her academic journey and achievements, including earning a scholarship from the French Government and participating in an international program at La Rochelle University. Participants showed great enthusiasm throughout the discussion, which explored strategies for academic achievement, self-development, and maintaining motivation to complete studies on time
