Semarang State University (UNNES) is currently enhancing its reputation on the international level. One of the strategies to make UNNES better known internationally among the academic community is by opening international classes for students from all over the world, not exception students from Indonesia. This class is a great means for UNNES to introduce university excellences and align itself with high-reputation universities in the world.
According to Deputy Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Prof Dr Zaenuri SE Msi Akt, this year overseas students can enroll themselves to UNNES starting on February 4 – July 1, 2019 through the International Office website (http://oi.unnes.ac.id/). Furthermore, Prof Zaenuri said that in admitting the overseas students, UNNES will conduct some selections through two kinds of stage, namely the mark/score verification stage and the interview which will be held on July 8 to 9 2019. In addition, UNNES also facilitates international classes for prospective students from Indonesia with different requirements. Thirteen courses offered are undergraduate study programs that have been accredited by BANPT. The curriculum that will be taught to students has been prepared in accordance with the international curriculum. The study programs offered include Public Health, Chemical Engineering, Mathematics Education, Law, Javanese Literature, Geography, Economics of Development, Physical Education Health and Recreation, Early Childhood Education, Accounting, Corporation, Office Administration, and English Education.
The presence of international classes is expected that UNNES can be equal with world-level universities, and brought out qualified students who are able to compete with students at the global level.
