Sharing session membahas program MBKM, konversi SKS, penelitian skripsi, publikasi bersama, dan peluang kolaborasi antara BRIN dan UNNES.

SEMARANG — Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional (BRIN) menggelar sharing session bersama dosen dan mahasiswa Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Universitas Negeri Semarang (FMIPA UNNES) di Kampus D7 FMIPA UNNES pada Senin, 20 Juli 2026.

Kegiatan tersebut membuka peluang bagi mahasiswa FMIPA UNNES untuk mengikuti program magang di BRIN melalui skema Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM). Program ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pengalaman kerja dan penelitian secara langsung di lingkungan lembaga riset nasional.

Peneliti Pusat Riset Ekologi BRIN, Joko Prihantono, Ph.D., menjelaskan bahwa mahasiswa yang mengikuti program magang dapat memperoleh pengakuan akademik melalui konversi kegiatan menjadi Satuan Kredit Semester (SKS).

“Dalam program MBKM ini, ketika mahasiswa menjalani magang di BRIN, kegiatan tersebut dapat dikonversi menjadi SKS. Setelah menyelesaikan magang, mahasiswa juga memiliki peluang untuk melanjutkan penelitian sebagai bagian dari penyusunan skripsi,” ujar Joko Prihantono.

Selain membahas program magang, pertemuan tersebut menjadi ruang penjajakan kerja sama antara BRIN dan FMIPA UNNES dalam bidang penelitian dan publikasi ilmiah. Kedua pihak juga mendiskusikan peluang penyusunan proposal bersama untuk memperoleh pendanaan penelitian.

BRIN mendorong mahasiswa UNNES untuk memanfaatkan fasilitas, pendampingan peneliti, dan lingkungan riset yang tersedia. Kesempatan tersebut diharapkan dapat membantu mahasiswa mengembangkan kompetensi penelitian sekaligus memperoleh pengalaman dalam pelaksanaan riset profesional.

Kegiatan ini juga membuka peluang bagi dosen dan peneliti dari kedua institusi untuk mengembangkan kajian bersama, menghasilkan publikasi ilmiah, dan merancang program akademik yang mendukung penguatan budaya riset.

Koordinator Program Studi Magister Fisika FMIPA UNNES, Prof. Dr. Supriyadi, menyambut baik pelaksanaan sharing session tersebut. Ia berharap hubungan antara FMIPA UNNES dan BRIN dapat terus diperkuat melalui kerja sama yang lebih terstruktur.

Menurutnya, penandatanganan dokumen kerja sama perlu segera ditindaklanjuti agar kedua institusi memiliki dasar yang kuat dalam menjalankan program magang, penelitian, publikasi, dan kegiatan akademik lainnya.

Kegiatan ini mendukung pencapaian Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), khususnya SDG 4: Pendidikan Berkualitas, SDG 9: Industri, Inovasi, dan Infrastruktur, serta SDG 17: Kemitraan untuk Mencapai Tujuan.

Kontribusi terhadap SDG 4 diwujudkan melalui pemberian pengalaman belajar berbasis riset kepada mahasiswa. Peluang penelitian dan pengembangan inovasi mendukung SDG 9, sedangkan penjajakan kerja sama antara BRIN dan UNNES sejalan dengan SDG 17.

Melalui kegiatan tersebut, FMIPA UNNES berharap mahasiswa dapat memperoleh akses yang lebih luas terhadap program magang dan penelitian. Kolaborasi dengan BRIN juga diharapkan mampu memperkuat kualitas pendidikan, produktivitas penelitian, dan pengembangan sumber daya manusia di lingkungan FMIPA UNNES.
