Semarang – The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), continues to support the realization of an inclusive campus environment by providing accessibility ramps for persons with physical disabilities. These accessibility facilities are available in the front area of the Dean’s Office (Dekanat) as well as within the Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics Laboratory areas.
The provision of these access ramps is a form of support for the ease of mobility of the academic community, particularly students, lecturers, education staff, and visitors who use wheelchairs or have limited mobility. With pathways that support accessibility, users are expected to reach faculty facilities more easily and comfortably.

The presence of the access ramp in front of the FMIPA UNNES Dean’s Office supports easy access to the administrative service center and faculty academic activities. Meanwhile, the provision of pathways in the Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics laboratory areas plays an important role in supporting access to learning, practicum, and research facilities.

Accessibility in the laboratory environment is particularly significant because laboratories are among the primary facilities for conducting academic activities at FMIPA UNNES. A more accessible environment is expected to expand opportunities for persons with disabilities to participate in educational activities and the advancement of science.

This effort also reflects the importance of providing facilities and infrastructure that consider the diverse needs of users. An inclusive campus not only provides access to education, but also strives to reduce physical barriers so that the entire academic community can carry out activities more equitably.
The provision of access pathways for persons with disabilities aligns with the commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 on Quality Education and SDG 10 on Reduced Inequalities. Support for accessibility is also part of the effort to create a friendly, safe, and inclusive educational environment.

Through the provision and development of accessibility facilities, FMIPA UNNES is expected to continuously improve the quality of services and infrastructure that support equal opportunities for the entire academic community. This step is part of the effort to realize a campus that not only excels in education, research, and innovation, but also cares for the needs of every individual.
