Kompetisi internasional Youth Future and Social Action (YFSA) International Competition yang diselenggarakan FISIP Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) resmi berakhir pada Rabu pekan lalu. Acara puncak berupa babak final lomba esai diselenggarakan di Aula C7 FISIP, Sekaran, Gunungpati, Semarang.


Kompetisi ini mencakup tiga kategori, yakni essay, poster, dan short video. Masing-masing kategori telah melahirkan pemenangnya. Untuk kategori essay, juara pertama diraih oleh tim dari UNNES yang terdiri atas Aditya Rizqi Pradana (Program Studi Teknik Informatika) dan Salma Alifah Setyaning Putri (Program Studi Sastra Inggris).


Keduanya berhasil memukau dewan juri melalui karya berjudul Go Far Away: A Narrative Adventure-Based Digital Game Application as an Educational Medium on the Mental Health Impacts of Sexual Violence Among Adolescents. Aplikasi permainan digital ini dirancang sebagai media edukasi untuk meningkatkan kesadaran mengenai dampak kekerasan seksual terhadap kesehatan mental remaja.


Dalam gim tersebut, pemain berperan sebagai seorang anak yang ditinggal orang tuanya menunaikan ibadah umrah. Pemain ditantang untuk menjelajahi lingkungan, menghindari ancaman, dan menjaga stabilitas kesehatan mental karakter yang dimainkan.


Melalui mekanisme permainan tersebut, Aditya dan Salma ingin menghadirkan pembelajaran empatik tentang trauma dan pemulihan psikologis korban kekerasan seksual. “Ini pengalaman pertama kami ikut kompetisi internasional dan langsung meraih juara. Kami masih akan mengembangkan narasi dan mekanisme gim agar lebih kuat secara emosional,” ujar Salma usai menerima penghargaan.


Berdasarkan survei terhadap 15 responden berusia 13–25 tahun, sebagian besar menyatakan bahwa Go Far Away efektif sebagai media edukasi. Para responden menilai permainan ini relevan dalam menjelaskan dampak kekerasan seksual terhadap remaja dan berpotensi digunakan dalam kampanye edukatif di sekolah maupun komunitas.


Selain Aditya dan Salma, peserta lomba esai lainnya, Muhammad Roekhan dari Program Studi Teknik Biomedis Universitas Telu Purwokerto, juga mencuri perhatian lewat gagasannya berjudul Quantum Eco Agro Nexus (QEAN). Ia mengusulkan penerapan teknologi kuantum dan pertanian cerdas (smart farming) untuk memperkuat ketahanan pangan di Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN).


QEAN mengombinasikan model iklim berbasis komputasi kuantum dengan praktik pertanian berkelanjutan seperti agroforestri dan urban farming. Menurut Roekhan, sistem ini dapat membantu petani memprediksi cuaca dan mengelola irigasi secara lebih efisien guna mengantisipasi dampak perubahan iklim.


Dekan FISIP UNNES, Prof. Arif Purnomo, menyatakan bahwa ajang YFSA menjadi wadah penting bagi generasi muda untuk menyalurkan ide dan kepedulian terhadap isu sosial.“Sesuai dengan namanya, YFSA adalah kompetisi bagi generasi muda untuk melatih kemampuan berpikir kritis terhadap fenomena sosial. Kegiatan ini menjadi ajang unjuk kreasi dan inovasi yang bermanfaat bagi masa depan mereka,” ujar Arif.


Melalui ajang ini, FISIP UNNES berharap dapat melahirkan lebih banyak mahasiswa yang mampu mengintegrasikan teknologi, kreativitas, dan kepedulian sosial dalam menjawab berbagai tantangan global masa kini.
