Riska Damayanti, a student of the Music Arts Education Study Program, Faculty of Languages and Arts, Semarang State University, was successfully selected as the 2023 Archipelago Culture Princess representing Central Java.

Riska received the achievement of being included in the top 10 Miss Nusantara Culture and received an award as Miss Nusantara Culture in the Best Ethnic Wear category on the night of the grand final, 17 September 2023. Riska was previously selected as the 2023 Miss Nusantara Culture of Central Java on 6 February 2023.

He explained that the selection of the Indonesian Cultural Sons and Daughters was through a series of direct assignments by the Regional Director of Central Java, Sany Setiawan. Riska took part in the selection of Putra Putri Budaya Nusantara because she has a love of culture and wants to contribute to preserving culture.

Riska stated that Putra Putri Budaya Nusantara was the representative appointed to promote the beautiful charm of Indonesia through Indonesian culture. According to Riska, by meeting representatives from various provinces, Riska can exchange information and learn about the culture of this archipelago.

“You can share knowledge about culture from your region and learn more about the culture of other regions and can further develop knowledge about arts throughout Indonesia,” said Riska.

Then, Riska, as a Princess of Indonesian Culture, has the main task of promoting culture through various activities and all social media platforms. Riska is also responsible for introducing culture to local and international communities, as well as being an ambassador for peace and intercultural understanding.

Riska, a student from Brebes, Central Java, whose hobby is singing, is motivated to inspire everyone to appreciate and understand the beauty of Indonesian culture. “I want to share the stories, values and traditions that make Indonesian culture so special and hope to spark interest in other people to take part in preserving and promoting cultural heritage,” he said.
