Faculty of Engineering, UNNES Again Held Engineering International Conference

The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) again held a virtual Engineering International Conference (EIC) on Thursday (24/9).

This annual routine activity is the 9th time which in its implementation is attended by participants from various countries such as Hong Kong, New Zealand, Taiwan, Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, and from various universities in Indonesia.

In the activity themed “Concept and Application of Green Technology”, Chairman of the Committee Samsudin Anis ST MT PhD explained, IEC 2020 aims to be a forum for academics, researchers and practitioners to share research results, ideas and concepts in the field of green technology.

Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Nur Qudus ST MT IPM, as the person in charge of the activity, hopes that IEC 2020 can become a forum for innovation and invention for the new development of science in Indonesia, especially in the field of green technology.

Present to give a speech and to open the activity, UNNES Rector, Prof. Dr. Fathur Rokhman MHum.

On that occasion, Prof. Fathur delivered his paper entitled “Green Technology: The Role of Information Technology in UNNES”.

“UNNES continues to encourage students and lecturers to always innovate, create, express their ideas. These ideas must have a positive impact and benefit the wider community, ”explained the Sociolinguistics Professor.

This year, EIC presents four Keynote Speakers from various universities, both domestic and foreign.

They are Prof. Thomas ST Ng (Department of Civil Engineering The University of Hong Kong) who presented a paper entitled “Decarbonising the Construction Industry to meet the Challenges of Increasing Urbanization”, Dr. Sanjay Mathrani (School of Food and Advance Technology Massey University) who presented a paper entitled “Current Trends in Green Technology for a Sustainable Future”, Prof. Dr. Rizalman Mamat (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Pahang) who delivered about “Non-edible Sources of Biofuel for Internal Combustion Engines”, and Dony Hidayat Al-Janan PhD ( Department of Mechanical Engineering, Univbersitas Negeri Semarang) who gave a presentation entitled “Meta modeling and Optimization, Advancing and Application”.

In the conference which was attended by more than 291 participants and 123 presenters, the papers presented will be published in scopus indexed international journals and proceedings.
