DPP UNNES Salurkan Beasiswa Rp3,38 Miliar, Menko Airlangga Dorong Mahasiswa Kuasai Teknologi Digital

Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) menyalurkan beasiswa Dewan Penyantun Pendidikan (DPP) senilai Rp3,38 miliar kepada 530 mahasiswa sebagai bentuk dukungan terhadap keberlanjutan pendidikan tinggi. Penyerahan beasiswa tersebut dirangkaikan dengan kuliah umum Menteri Koordinator Bidang Perekonomian Airlangga Hartarto yang mengajak mahasiswa memanfaatkan perkembangan kecerdasan buatan (artificial intelligence/AI) untuk menghadapi tantangan ekonomi global.

Rektor UNNES Prof. Dr. S Martono, M.Si. menjelaskan, dana beasiswa DPP UNNES pada 2026 mencapai Rp3,38 miliar untuk membantu 530 mahasiswa.

“Untuk tahun ini jumlahnya ada Rp3,38 miliar untuk 530 mahasiswa dari kategori satu dan kategori dua. Tahun lalu ada Rp2,8 miliar, jadi selalu naik dari tahun ke tahun. Harapannya, semua mahasiswa yang kurang mampu itu ter-cover dengan beasiswa ini,” jelasnya saat diwawancarai di Auditorium UNNES, Kota Semarang, Jum’at (9/10/2026).

Ia pun mengapresiasi inisiatif Menteri Koordinator Bidang Perekonomian Airlangga Hartarto dalam mendorong pembentukan Dewan Penyantun Pendidikan UNNES yang telah membantu lebih dari 1.300 mahasiswa.

“Berkat arahan dan inisiatif awal dari Pak Menko yang kemudian ditindaklanjuti oleh Ketua DPP UNNES, Bapak Dr. Gunawan Tjokro beserta para pengusaha dan mitra perbankan yang peduli pendidikan, dewan penyantun ini terwujud dan menjadi satu-satunya di Indonesia.” ungkapnya.

Mahasiswa kategori 1 yang besaran Uang Kuliah Tunggal (UKT)-nya Rp500.000 per semester akan ditanggung penuh hingga semester 8. Sebagian besar dari mereka merupakan mahasiswa yang sebelumnya mendaftar Kartu Indonesia Pintar (KIP) namun belum berkesempatan lolos kuota kementerian.

Sementara itu, Menko Bidang Perekonomian RI, Dr. (H.C.) Ir. Airlangga Hartarto, M.B.A., M.M.T., IPU.menegaskan bahwa penguasaan literasi digital kini tidak lagi menjadi ranah eksklusif bagi mahasiswa fakultas teknik atau informatika saja. Ia mendorong seluruh disiplin ilmu untuk beradaptasi dengan ekonomi baru yang digerakkan oleh ekosistem semikonduktor, machine learning, dan Internet of Things (IoT).

“Revolusi AI ini bukan untuk dijauhkan atau dihindari, tetapi untuk dimanfaatkan dan dipersiapkan. Seluruh jurusan apa pun, mau ekonomi, bahasa, teknik, ke depan harus menguasai bahasa-bahasa digital ini,” tegasnya di hadapan ratusan mahasiswa.

Dalam arahannya, ia juga menitipkan pesan strategis agar mahasiswa UNNES terus membekali diri dengan kemampuan beradaptasi untuk menyambut masa keemasan Indonesia pada 2045.

“Pembelajaran di universitas itu adalah belajar agar kita disiplin untuk life-long learning. Sesudah mendapat ijazah itu bukan berarti berhenti, karena dunia terus berubah, maka salah satu kunci untuk bisa beradaptasi adalah dengan terus belajar,” pungkasnya.
