Ada Beasiswa Dewan Penyantun Pendidikan, 520 Mahasiswa UNNES Akan Kuliah Gratis

Sebanyak 520 mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) akan memperoleh beasiswa Dewan Penyantun Pendidikan (DPP) pada tahun 2026. Dengan beasiswa tersebut, mahasiswa dapat menempuh pendidikan sampai selesai (8 semester) secara gratis.

Kabar menggembirakan ini disampaikan Rektor UNNES Prof Dr. S Martono setelah pihaknya bertemu dengan Penasihat, Ketua, dan anggota Dewan Penyantun Pendidikan (DPP) UNNES di Jakarta, Jumat (27/8).

Ketua Dewan Penyantun pendidikan UNNES Dr. (H.C.) Gunawan Tjokro mengungkapkan, tahun ini ada 18 tokoh dan perusahaan yang bergabung dalam DPP. Mereka berhasil menghimpun dana sebesar 3,396 miliar yang diproyeksikan dapat membuiayai Uang Kuliah Tunggal (UKT) bagi 520 mahasiswa sampai lulus.

“Mudah-mudahan beasiswa ini dapat membantu mahasiswa supaya bisa menyelesaikan pendidikan dengan baik dan berprestasi, tanpa kendala biaya,” kata Gunawan Tjokro.

Rektor UNNES Prof. Dr. S Martono MSi menyampaikan terima kasih atas kepedulian para tokoh dan Perusahaan yang telah tergabung dalam DPP UNNES.

“Kami sangat berterima kasih. Bantuan ini bermakna besar bagi UNNES dan bagi seluruh mahasiswa yang menerimanya, termasuk bagi keluarganya. Harapannya, dengan beasiswa ini mahasiswa bisa fokus kuliah, mengembangkan diri, dan meraih berbagai prestasi,” katanya.

DPP UNNES adalah lembaga khusus yang terdiri atas sejumlah pengusaha yang memiliki kepedulian terhadap pendidikan, khususnya UNNES. Digagas sejak 2024, DPP telah tiga tahun berturut-turut memberikan beasiswa kepada mahasiswa UNNES. Jumlah dana yang dihimpun dan disalurkan pun terus meningkat.

Pada tahun 2024, dana yang dihimpun sebanyak 2,4 miliar dan disalurkan bagi 396 mahasiswa. Pada tahun 2025 dana yang dihimpun kembali naik sehingga bisa disalurkan sebagai beasiswa mahasiswa bagi 408 mahasiswa. Pada tahun 2026 jumlah dana yang terhimpun mencapai 3,39 miliar dan diproyeksikan dapat disalurkan kepada 520 mahasiswa.

Beasiswa diprirotaskan bagi mahasiswa yang mendapat UKT Golongan 1 dan 2. Dengan beasiswa tersebut mereka bisa menempuh perkuliahan secara gratis sampai semester 8.
