Department of Mathematics and Department of Computer Sciences of Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) conducted general lecturer with the guest lecture form Malaysia. The event was held under the theme of Big Data, Modeling, Computational Platform and Holistic Approaches for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Tuesday (14/11) at D12 building, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UNNES
The main speaker of this lectures is the Associate Professor Dr. Norma Binti Alias from Mathematics and Sciences Faculty of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). Currently, Prof. Norma is a researcher in Ibnu Sina Institute for Fundamental Science Stidies of UTM focused on applying basic knowledge of physics, chemistry and biology with mathematics to facilitate the advancement of local technology, engineering and material discoveries. The girl who was born in 1968 is one of active researchers with field of expertise in Parallel Computing and Numerical Analysis.
In this lectures, Prof. Norma gave a presentation related to data especially big data. She is also said that now days, mathematician can extend their relativeness cause mathematics has strong connection with technology.
Opening this event, the head of Mathematics Department of UNNES Drs. Arief Agoestanto MSi hope that the audiences of this lectures can take the advantages through the scientific presentation delivered by the expert.
