UNNES Supports Staff with Families through Sekar Nagari Childcare Facility

Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) continues to support its staff who have families through the Sekar Nagari Childcare Facility. This facility is part of PAUD Sekar Nagari, which also offers early childhood programs for playgroups and kindergartens.

Located between the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) and the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at the Sekaran Campus, the childcare center provides safe and comfortable spaces for young children, including play areas, rest rooms, and learning spaces. The service allows UNNES students and staff to focus on their studies or work while ensuring their children are well cared for.

The facility operates Monday to Friday, from 07.00–16.00 WIB (Monday–Thursday) and 07.00–14.30 WIB (Friday), accommodating children aged 3 months to 6 years.

Parents can register their children directly at PAUD Sekar Nagari UNNES. According to Circular Letter No. B/28477/UN37/RT.02/2024, the facility is specifically for UNNES students and staff with families to help maintain effective teaching, learning, and working activities on campus.

Academic Supervision

PAUD Sekar Negari is unique because its development and operational supervision are directly managed by the Faculty of Education and Psychology at UNNES. This ensures that all aspects of education, caregiving, and child development at PAUD Sekar Negari align with scientifically and psychologically proven principles.

Operationally, PAUD Sekar Negari is professionally managed by the UNNES Dharma Wanita Persatuan. This collaboration ensures family-friendly management that is attentive and supportive of children’s growth and development within a conducive campus environment.

With the existence of childcare facilities like PAUD Sekar Negari, UNNES further demonstrates its commitment to creating an inclusive educational environment that supports the entire academic community, including students who already have families.

The Sekar Nagari Childcare Facility not only provides practical support for parents but also contributes to a more inclusive and family-friendly campus environment. By ensuring that children are cared for in a safe and stimulating setting, UNNES reinforces its commitment to the holistic well-being of its students and staff, enabling them to fully engage in academic and professional life without compromise.
