UNNES Signs a Memorandum of Understanding with Mandiri Bank to organize Kampus Merdeka and Merdeka Belajar

Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) continues to increase cooperation with various government and private institutions, and agencies for the implementation of an Independent Campus (Kampus Merdeka) and Free Learning (Merdeka Belajar). This time UNNES signed a Memorandum of Understanding with PT Bank Mandiri Tbk.

MoU was signed by Regional Chief Executive Officer Region VII / Java 2 PT Mandiri Bank Persero Tbk Dessy Wahyuni ​​and rektor of UNNES Prof. Dr. Fathur Rokhman MHum via Zoom application, Thursday (13/8).

Prof. Dr. Fathur Rokhman MHum said that the memorandum of understanding was carried out to utilize the banking services owned by Mandiri Bank Tbk as well as the provision and development of the implementation of Tridarma of Higher Education which includes education, research, and community service.

“Mandiri Bank has the capacity as a credible bank to provide financial services, therefore UNNES in implementing financial services must be at the level of services that are healthy, transparent, and also provide benefits for programs so that UNNES can become a superior university for advanced Indonesia. Therefore, we are grateful that today UNNES can meet Mrs. Dessy Wahyuni ​​and sign an online memorandum of understanding with Bank Mandiri. Hopefully this agreement will be the point of reintegrating a better relationship, ”said Prof. Fathur.

Furthermore, Prof. Fathur hopes that this collaboration can support the development of the implementation of the Independent Campus and Free Learning, which includes an internship program.

“UNNES students are encouraged by the Minister of Education and Culture to be able to do internships with BUMN, institutions, and agencies. Therefore, Mandiri Bank is the choice of students to implement the Free Learning program, “explained Prof. Fathur.
