UNNES Ranks 9 in Categories of Clusterization Process Performance at the Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture 2020

Universitas Negeri semarang is ranked 9 in the process performance category in the 2020 Indonesian tertiary education cluster by the Directorate General of Higher Education (Ditjen Dikti) of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia which was announced on Monday (17/8).

The Director General of Higher Education, Prof. Dr. Nizam, explained that clustering was an effort by the Directorate General of Higher Education to map the performance of Indonesian academic colleges under the guidance of the Ministry of Education and Culture.

“This clustering is not a ranking but a grouping of universities according to their level of development. This clusterization should not be mistaken as a ranking, “explained Prof. Nizam.

Furthermore, Prof. Nizam explained that the main purpose of clustering was to provide a foundation for the development of development policies, development of higher education and to encourage universities to improve the quality of the implementation of the three principles of higher education in a sustainable manner.

In addition, higher education clustering serves to provide information to the public about the quality of higher education performance in Indonesia.

The Rector of UNNES Prof. Dr. Fathur Rokhman expressed his appreciation and gratitude to all leaders, lecturers, staff, students, alumni and partners of UNNES who have contributed to the progress of the campus.

“Alhamdulillah, we must continue to be grateful for the achievements of this performance to achieve the lofty ideals of the UNNES campus. we have worked together to achieve the best. We have tried to run fast to reach the goal. Alhamdulillah, UNNES score increased from last year. UNNES actually has the ability to jump even further. For that goal, let’s together we advance UNNES campus which we are proud of, “said Prof. Fathur Rokhman.

Head of the Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) Quality Assurance Agency, Agung Yulianto SPd MSi, conveyed clustering indicators based on four main aspects, namely the quality of human and student resources (input), management of higher education institutions (process), short-term performance achievements achieved by universities (output), and long-term performance achievements of higher education (outcome).

“UNNES Rank 9 on the aspect of the process. There are 9 indicators used in process aspects, including Institutional Accreditation, Study Program Accreditation, Online Learning, Higher Education Collaboration, Completeness of Higher Education Database (PDDIKTI) Reports, Number of Study Programs in collaboration with DUDI, NGO or QS Top 100 WCU by subject, Number of Study Programs implementing programs Free learning, the number of students who take the Free Learning Program, “said Agung Yulianto.

In the 2020 clustering, the indicators used to assess the performance of higher education in the input aspect include the percentage of lecturers with doctoral degrees, the percentage of lecturers in the post of head and professor professors, the ratio of the number of lecturers to the number of students, the number of foreign students, and the number of lecturers working as lecturers. practitioners in the industry for a minimum of 6 months.

In the output aspect, there are four indicators used, including the number of indexed scientific articles per lecturer, research performance, student performance, the number of study programs that have obtained International Accreditation or Certification. Meanwhile, in the outcome aspect, there are five indicators used, including innovation performance, number of citations per lecturer, number of patents per lecturer, community service performance, and the percentage of college graduates who get a job within 6 months.

The Directorate General of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and Culture has clustered 2,136 universities in Indonesia in 2020 consisting of 5 (five) higher education clusters with a composition of cluster 1 totaling 15 universities, cluster 2 totaling 34 universities, cluster 3 totaling 97 universities, cluster 4 totaling 400 universities, and cluster 5 totaling 1,590 universities.
