As an Institute of Teachers’ Education (LPTK), Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) has advantages in the field of learning. This has been widely recognized because the lecturers have qualified knowledge in planning, implementing, and evaluating the educational process.
UNNES’ Rector, Prof. Dr. Fathur Rokhman MHum, invited all lecturers to maintain these excellences mentioned before. One way is to develop learning innovations.
This was conveyed in the online gathering of the Rector with lecturers and education staff of the Mathematics and Natural Sciences Faculty, Tuesday (25/8).
“We have to maintain that advantage. We develop innovative learning by optimizing various existing media, “explained the sociolinguistics professor, Prof. Dr. Fathur Rokhman MHum.
Together with that, UNNES is also moving to become a research university. To achieve this, the rector hopes that Mathematics and Natural Sciences Faculty (FMIPA) will be able to become a pioneer.
Thus, FMIPA is considered to have the best capacity in the field of research. Besides having superior human resources, FMIPA also has productivity in research and scientific publications.
“Therefore, in a situation like this let’s prioritize two things, namely health and productivity, and don’t forget to be happy,” he said.
Dean of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Faculty (FMIPA), Dr. Sugianto MSi, said that even in a pandemic situation there were a number of progress achieved by Mathematics and Natural Sciences Faculty (FMIPA). One of them is that Mathematics and Natural Sciences Faculty (FMIPA) is the faculty with the most Student Creativity Program (PKM) funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture.
“Hopefully, they can also pass Pekan Ilmiah Mahasiswa Nasional (PIMNAS) and get gold medal,” he said.
