Supporting its mission as the University of World Class University , Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) continues to expand its network of partners with foreign universities.
On Tuesday (05/22/2019) at the UNNES campus, Gunungpati signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Dong Hwa University (NDHU), Taiwan.The Signing of the MoU by UNNES Chancellor Prof. Dr. Fathur Rokhman MHum was accompanied by Prof. Ming-Chien Su Vice Dean of the Office of National Dong Hwa University Affairs.
The Dean of FMIPA UNNES Prof. Sudarmin, Dr. Niken Subekti (Expert Staff of Foreign Cooperation), Intan Permata Hapsari SPd MPd (Head of International Office), Adhi Setyanto MPd (Kabag Cooperation), and Ledi Diyanasari MKom (Kasubbag Foreign Affairs) come as witness. And also Prof. I-Fang Sun, Yo-HoChang (Associste Professor), Clint Lewis (PhD Student), Luvian Iskandar (Master Student), and Hsing-Chih Chen (Assistant of CES).
Prof. Fathur Rokhman said, the signing of this MoU was the starting point of cooperation between the two parties in terms of Tri Dharma College, joint publications, and student and staff exchanges.Prof. Fathur also said, previously UNNES had also collaborated with various foreign universities including UTM Malaysia, Kasetsart University Thailand, Hiroshima University Japan, VIA Denmark College, Myanmar, Cambodia, the Philippines and the Netherlands.
In the other hand, Prof. Ming-Chien Su said that just like UNNES, we have also established various collaborations with more than 300 universities in the world.
“ I agree with Prof. Fathur Rokhman, that establishing cooperation with world universities is the right step to improve the quality of their respective universities and continue to grow in the international arena”. Because, National Dong Hwa University is a young university in Taiwan. We are engaged in technology and science that we continue to develop due to the increasing technological needs in the world.
