Two UNNES Students Attended the Business Show in Singapore

Two students from the Management program at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), Asna Salsabila & Hanina Humaira, had the opportunity to attend The Business Show Asia in Singapore on August 28-29, 2024.

The Business Show Asia serves as an important platform for business development and innovation in the Asian region. During this occasion, Asna and Hanina successfully utilized this platform to introduce their innovative solution to the public by soft launching their developed platform, CAREER UPGRADE (Instagram: @cu.career).

CAREER UPGRADE, which focuses on optimizing the career potential of individuals and organizations, presents integrated solutions in the form of soft skills and hard skills training for beginners and professionals, a friendly job search platform for job seekers with special needs (disabilities), and career ecosystem development services.

The platform also provides CV and portfolio creation and review services, with the aim of helping professionals better prepare themselves for the increasingly competitive world of work.

The development of this prototype received full support from the Management Study Program FEB UNNES under the supervision of Dr. Vitradesie Noekent, SE, MM and Siti Ridloah, SE, M.Mgt.

In this event, several well-known industry figures such as Mr. Rohan Dhanuka (Industry Head at Google) and Mr. Vineet Agarwal (CEO of Validus Capital) were also present and shared their views on the importance of career development in the digital era. This event also opens up opportunities for collaboration between CAREER UPGRADE and various parties to expand access to optimal career resources.

CAREER UPGRADE ended the event by pitching to prospective partners in the hope of building future collaborations to support the optimal development of career resources. FEB UNNES students who attended were also expected to bring home new knowledge and extensive networking opportunities to be applied in the academic environment.

The presence of two FEB UNNES Management students in the event is expected to provide inspiration and new knowledge that can be applied for their own career development and for the campus community.
