UNNES Rector Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum was accompanied by Vice Rector II Dr S Martono MSi and Postgraduate Director Prof Dr H Achmad Slamet Msi, conducted educational cooperation activities with Istanbul University Turkey, (19/04).
The Vice President of Bilateral Multilateral Relations, Prof Ayse Zisan Furat PhD, welcomed the arrival of the Rector of UNNES alongside entourage at Istanbul University.
“I send my best regards to UNNES who initiated the collaboration with Istanbul University. Student and lecturer exchange activities would be able to strengthen cooperation in the education aspect in Turkey and Indonesia, especially UNNES and Istanbul University,” said Prof Ayse Zisan.
Rector of UNNES in his speech “Student exchanges and visiting lecturers have strategic roles in the Turkish and Indonesian education development. Through academic collaboration, it can would increase the productivity of joint research and publication of scientific works”.
“Now the number of Turkish students studying at Universitas Negeri Semarang is quite a lot. Through the cooperation that we have built, hopefully there will be an increase in the number of Turkish students studying at UNNES. Through collaboration, joint research and scientific writing could be carried out together, “said Mr Rector.
During the activity, a Letter of Agreement was signed. Both party agreed on international cooperation in the field of conservation education. It carried out by the Director of the Postgraduate Program of UNNES and the Head of the Education Faculty of Istanbul University.
After signing Rector alongside Vice Rector II and the Postgraduate Director joined the campus tour hosted by Esma Topkara. She is an alumni of the English Language Study Program at UNNES who currently works as a Public Relations Division Staff at Istanbul University.
