As a conservation and internationally reputed university, UNNES provides opportunities for prospective foreign students who will study on a cool campus located in Sekaran Gunungpati Semarang.
UNNES won the trust of the Republic of Indonesia Consulate in Songkhla, Southern Thailand, to recruit and select students from Songkhla who had the desire to study undergraduate studies at international class study programs at UNNES. The screening activity was facilitated by the Consulate of the Republic of Indonesia in Songkhla Thailand. The selection took place in Songkhla Central Mosque Hat Yai Thailand, June 18-21 2019.
Head of International Office of UNNES, Intan Permata Hapsari said that in 2019 Southern Thai students who have an interest in continuing education at UNNES increased compared to last year.
“Last year there were only seven students who were interested in studying at UNNES, currently there are 16 students who have a great desire to study at UNNES. 16 students took part in the screening and interviews in Songkhla Thailand, “said Intan Permata
Interviews with international student candidates were carried out by the Head of the International Office of UNNES Intan Permata Hapsari and UNNES Foreign Chancellor Expert Staff, Dr Niken Subekti, which is located in the Songkhla Central Mosque, Hat Yai.
Dr Niken Subekti said that in addition to conducting screening, this activity was also to provide more detailed information about 13 international study programs at UNNES and scholarships offered to students from abroad.
The Republic of Indonesia Consulate for Songkhla Thailand, Fachry Sulaiman was accompanied by Samsu Rizal and Adul Meatam, saying that the acceptance of students from Southern Thailand to study at the UNNES was expected to help in developing bilateral relations between Indonesia and Thailand in the future.
