Description

Education is a planned basic effort to create a learning atmosphere and learning process so that students actively develop their potential to have religious spiritual strength, self-control, personality, intelligence, morals, life science, general knowledge and skills needed for society. UNNES as one of the printers of superior resources and technology development organizes UNNES Global Short Course activities. Where in this activity participants can participate directly in the educational process and exchange knowledge in teaching activities.

Purpose

Provide opportunities for International Students to acquire Education system, improve knowledge and skills, exchange ideas and culture, and build relationships with UNNES.

General Criteria

  1. Citizen of ASEAN, ASIA, Australia, Europe, and America
  2. Be at least 18 years old and maximum 30 years old
  3. Can speak English proven by TOEFL/TOEIC/IELTS/DET English proficiency certificate
  4. Have never participated in an international mobility program at UNNES
  5. Physical and spiritual health is proven by health insurance during the programs
  6. Have an interest to study in Indonesia

Courses

  • Bahasa Indonesia

Learning the very basic of Indonesian for specific purposes such as communication, teaching, business, presentation, and others

  • Teaching in School

With this UNNES Global Short Course activity, participants can take part in teaching activities. Participants can teach English or the language of their country/region, culture, and so on.

  • Research/ Teaching Assistance/Lab Work/ Sit in

This program also offers student teaching activities on campus. Students can do some research or teach several materials such as English or material in accordance with the intended major in their home institution. This can add insight both for global short course participants and UNNES students themselves.

  • Sharing session with campus organizations

The UNNES Global Short Course provides participants with the opportunity to share experiences about organization and management with students who are active in UNNES organizations. This can provide new knowledge and experience for UNNES participants and students.

  • Skeleton Leaf Arts

It is a creative business that utilizes leaf waste in the environment around UNNES. The bones or leaf fibers are used as a painting medium worth hundreds of thousands of rupiah.

  • Pencak Silat Martial Art

It is a fighting sport which collectively encompasses martial arts of various styles originating from Indonesia. This form of fighting involves, striking, grappling techniques, and throwing. This form of fighting originated in Indonesia as a means of self-defense, turned into a competitive sport, and modified as a performance art.
