Strengthening the MBKM Internship Program, UNNES Signs MoU with PT. Equityworld Futures.

Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) with PT. Equityworld Futures to strengthen the MBKM internship program. The signing ceremony took place on March 15, 2023, in the Vicon Room of the H Building.

The MoU was signed by UNNES Rector, represented by Vice Rector for Planning and Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Nur Qudus, MT IPM, and the Head of the Semarang Branch of PT. Equityworld Futures, Ismet Faradis, ST. Meanwhile, the PKS was signed by the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Prof. Heri Yanto, MBA, PhD.

According to Prof. Nur Qudus, UNNES Vice Rector for Planning and Cooperation, in order to strengthen the implementation of the MBKM program, it is necessary to increase cooperation with industry and the world of work, including with PT. Equityworld Futures. One implementation of this cooperation is the provision of MBKM internship programs for students of the Faculty of Economics at PT. Equityworld Futures Semarang Branch.

“In addition to the internship program, other collaborative programs can be developed in the future,” said the Vice Rector for Planning and Cooperation.

Ismet Faradis, the Branch Manager of PT. Equityworld Futures Semarang, said that PT. Equityworld Futures is the first company to collaborate with UNNES on the MBKM program. He stated that PT. Equityworld Futures shares the same direction with UNNES, which is to contribute to the development of human resources, particularly UNNES students.

PT. Equityworld Futures is ready to receive and guide students, for now, from the Faculty of Economics to carry out MBKM internships for 6 months at PT. Equityworld Futures Semarang Branch for free and even receive incentives.

Prof. Heri Yanto, the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Vice Rector for General Affairs and Finance at UNNES, also stated that the collaboration between the Faculty of Economics UNNES and PT. Equityworld Futures is one implementation of the MBKM internship program for UNNES students. However, in the future, it will be developed together with other schemes, such as research programs for lecturers and students, practitioner lecturer programs, lecturer and student certifications, lecturers who become consultants/experts, and CSR collaboration for community service programs.

The signing ceremony was followed by a discussion and sharing between both parties. The event was also attended by the leadership of the Faculty of Economics, Vice Dean, Department Chair, FE Cooperation Task Force, BAKK Head, Coordinator of Cooperation Department, Domestic Cooperation Sub-Coordinator, and staff.
