Strengthening International Cooperation, UNNES Implements Collaboration with VIA College Denmark

Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) remains committed to supporting internationalization programs and realizing its vision of becoming a World-renowned University. One tangible form of this commitment is through continuing the implementation of international cooperation with VIA University College Denmark. This took place on Thursday (10/3) at the H Building of the rectorate. This activity is a follow-up to the existing programs between UNNES and VIA College.

Erik Juul, Head of International Program Development for ASIA at VIA College Denmark, conveyed that by 2025, they plan to send more students to UNNES. The plan is for these students not only to participate in short courses focused on Indonesian culture but also to be involved in PPL sit-ins at several international partner schools of UNNES.

Head of the International Office, Lulu April Farida, explained that UNNES has been collaborating with VIA College since 2016. Previously, in 2023, 14 VIA College Denmark students also participated in the monitoring and evaluation internship (PPL) program at UNNES Labschool, as well as taking part in a short course that introduced Indonesian culture.

During this occasion, Erik also conveyed that VIA Denmark offers opportunities for UNNES students interested in education to participate in student exchange programs in Denmark. Not only that, UNNES faculty members also have the chance to participate in lecture programs at VIA Denmark, further enriching their academic experiences on the international stage.

During the meeting, other collaboration opportunities were also discussed, such as the visiting professor program and the exchange of scientists for research collaboration.

Present at this occasion were the Head of the Office of International Affairs, Deputy Dean I, Deputy Dean III, LP3 Secretary, Foreign Cooperation Task Force, Administration Head, General and Financial Affairs of KUI, Head of LP3 Laboratory Development Center, Head of SD Labschool, and Internasional Office Staff.

The hope is that this cooperation will continue to grow and have a positive impact for both parties, as well as pave the way for further collaborations in the future.
