Strengthening Commitment to Excellence in Education, UNNES Inaugurates 13 Professors

Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) has again affirmed its status as one of Indonesia’s premier higher education institutions by inaugurating 13 new professors. This significant milestone, scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, December 3, 2024, marks a pivotal step in UNNES’s ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of education, research, and impactful innovation.

This conferment goes beyond ceremonial recognition; it is a strategic move to strengthen collaboration with various educational stakeholders. With diverse expertise and experiences, these new professors are prepared to tackle society’s complex challenges, ranging from academic issues to economic and environmental concerns.

The thirteen professors are:

Prof. Dr. Endang Susilaningsih, M.S.
Field: Learning Methodology and Assessment
Prof. Endang focuses on developing innovative and effective learning strategies. Her extensive research aims to enhance the quality of education across various levels by designing assessment tools that accurately measure student competencies. Her work has significantly contributed to education reform in Indonesia, equipping educators to adopt best practices in teaching and evaluation.

Prof. Puji Astuti, Ph.D.
Field: Cooperative Learning in English Language Teaching
Prof. Puji is a renowned scholar who studies cooperative learning methods for teaching English. A Fulbright-DIKTI scholar at the University of Rochester, New York, her research highlights how cooperative learning fosters student engagement and communicative competence. Her contributions have become a vital reference for educators and researchers seeking innovative approaches to language instruction.

Prof. Dr. Rofi Wahanisa, M.H.
Field: Agrarian Law Politics
Prof. Rofi emphasizes the importance of agrarian law politics in national development. A member of the Expert Team for the Capital City Authority (IKN) Presidential Regulation Study, she advocates for equitable and sustainable agrarian policies to resolve land disputes and ensure fair access for communities. Prof. Dr. Yusro Edy Nugroho, M.Hum.
