PLS FIP UNNES Department Holds International Seminar attended by Speakers from 3 Continents

The Department of Out-of-school Education, Faculty of Education, Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) held The 1st International Conference on Theory and Practice of Education for Society (ICTPES) with the theme Global Issues in Education for All: Learning Innovations for the Society. This activity will take place on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, from 08.00 to 14.00 WIB.

The keynote speaker at the ICTPES activity was the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Zaenuri SE MSi Akt.

Prof Zaenuri said that UNNES as an LPTK and Civilization Development House participated in providing solutions by providing a forum to discuss and analyse learning approaches and innovations for all, both for academics, practitioners and the community.

Meanwhile, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs FIP UNNES Farid Ahmadi PhD said ICTPES was the first international conference held by the PLS Department, and included as one of the academic work programs that is fully supported by the Faculty of Education.

Farid Ahmadi added that this seminar also provides an opportunity to increase education understanding regarding challenges and knowledge as well as learning innovations in education for all.

Plenary Speakers who have attended the activities of this International Conference include; Associate Prof Wirathep P, PhD Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, Associate Prof Dr Ahad Ali Lawrence Technological University, USA, Tufel Musyadad MSw Charles Darwin University, Australia, Prof Dr Ir Wahyudi Sutopo ST MSI IPM Sebelas Maret University and Prof Dr Tri Joko Raharjo M Pd Universitas Negeri Semarang, Indonesia.

“This international seminar aims as an effort to provide article publication services to lecturers, teachers, students, researchers, practitioners and the general public,” added Imam Shofwan MPd as Chair of the ICTPES Organizing Committee.

The activity does not only provide Plenary Speaker sessions but there is also a panel session for presenters to present their papers.

This activity was attended by hundreds of participants from various partner universities such as Yogyakarta State University, Malang State University, Padang State University, and so on.

Publications will be published in various journals such as Scopus indexed Proceedings, Shinta indexed journals 2,3,4,5,6, International Journals and International Book Chapter.
