Biography

Prof. Dr. Ir. Saratri Wilonoyudho, M.Si., is an esteemed academic and expert in demography, currently serving as a Professor of Demography at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes). Born in Klaten on January 13, 1963, he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Geodetic Engineering from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), followed by a Master’s and Doctorate in Demography from the same institution. Throughout his academic career, Prof. Saratri has made significant contributions to research in population studies, environmental sustainability, and urban planning. He has also served as a jury member for numerous scientific competitions at regional and national levels. Additionally, he has been actively involved in various organizations, including as a member of the Regional Research Council of Central Java and as a research advisor for multiple governmental agencies.

A prolific scholar, Prof. Saratri has authored over a thousand scientific articles published in national journals and media, along with several books on demography and urban development. His research has been presented at national and international conferences, including in Scopus-indexed journals. In recognition of his contributions, he has received numerous awards, such as First Prize in the National Development Writing Competition from the Minister of Home Affairs and recognition from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for his role in community empowerment initiatives. Beyond academia, he actively engages in community service, providing training for educators, environmental advocacy, and participating in religious and social activities.
