Prof. Dr. Ngabiyanto, M.Si., born in Blora on January 3, 1965, obtained his Doctorate in Development Studies from Satya Wacana Christian University, Salatiga, in 2019. He previously earned his Master’s degree in National Resilience from Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta, in 1999 and his Bachelor’s degree in Moral Education and Citizenship from IKIP Semarang in 1989. His primary and secondary education was completed at SPG Negeri Blora (1984), SMP Negeri 1 Randublatung, Blora (1981), and SD Negeri Sumber 1 Kradenan, Blora (1977).
Since 1990, he has served as a lecturer at IKIP Semarang (now Universitas Negeri Semarang). He has held various administrative roles, including Head of the Center for Social and Humanities Research (2002–2006), Head of the Center for Teacher Professional Education (2013–2015), Vice Dean III for Student Affairs, Faculty of Social Sciences (2015–2018), Secretary of the Institute for Educational and Professional Development (2018–2019), and Chairman of the Institute for Educational and Professional Development (2019–2021 and 2021–2023). He currently serves as Vice Rector III for Research, Innovation, and Information Systems (2023–present). Additionally, he actively participates in the Indonesian Association of Civic Education Professionals.
Apart from teaching, Prof. Ngabiyanto is actively engaged in research, community service, academic writing, and scholarly publications in national and international journals. He has also served as a speaker in various academic forums.
