Pelatihan Lip Balm di Sudungdewo, UNNES GIAT 16 Dorong Kreativitas

Mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) melalui program UNNES GIAT 16 memberikan pelatihan pembuatan lip balm kepada ibu-ibu Pemberdayaan dan Kesejahteraan Keluarga (PKK) di Desa Sudungdewo, Minggu (2/8).

Kegiatan ini menjadi salah satu bentuk pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui keterampilan sederhana yang dapat diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

Pelatihan yang diikuti ibu-ibu PKK Dusun Ngelo, Desa Sudungdewo, tersebut dilaksanakan dengan dukungan Pusat Pengembangan Kuliah Kerja Nyata, Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (LPPM) UNNES.

Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan keterampilan yang dapat dikembangkan menjadi produk bernilai ekonomi sekaligus mendukung pencapaian Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), khususnya SDGs Desa Sehat dan Sejahtera.

Kegiatan diawali dengan penyampaian materi mengenai kesehatan bibir dan manfaat penggunaan lip balm. Peserta kemudian diperkenalkan dengan berbagai alat dan bahan yang digunakan dalam proses pembuatan lip balm beserta fungsi masing-masing bahan.

Setelah memperoleh penjelasan, peserta mengikuti demonstrasi pembuatan lip balm secara langsung. Mahasiswa UNNES GIAT 16 memperagakan tahapan mulai dari menyiapkan dan menimbang bahan, mencampurkan bahan, hingga memasukkan produk ke dalam wadah. Selanjutnya, ibu-ibu PKK mempraktikkan proses pembuatan secara berkelompok dengan pendampingan mahasiswa.

Antusiasme peserta terlihat selama kegiatan berlangsung. Selain mengikuti setiap tahapan pembuatan, peserta aktif bertanya mengenai bahan, proses pembuatan, cara penyimpanan, penggunaan, serta hal lain yang berkaitan dengan lip balm.

Praktik secara langsung membantu peserta memahami proses pembuatan sekaligus memperoleh pengalaman baru dalam mengolah bahan menjadi produk yang dapat digunakan secara pribadi.

Pelatihan ini juga diharapkan dapat mendorong kreativitas ibu-ibu PKK dalam menghasilkan produk. Lip balm yang dibuat dalam kegiatan tersebut dapat menjadi contoh produk sederhana yang berpotensi dikembangkan lebih lanjut, baik untuk kebutuhan pribadi maupun sebagai peluang usaha apabila didukung pengembangan formulasi, kemasan, perizinan, dan pemasaran yang sesuai.

Melalui kegiatan tersebut, mahasiswa UNNES GIAT 16 berharap keterampilan yang diperoleh peserta dapat memberikan manfaat berkelanjutan dan menjadi salah satu langkah dalam mengembangkan potensi masyarakat Desa Sudungdewo.

Kegiatan ini sekaligus menjadi bagian dari komitmen UNNES GIAT 16 dalam mendukung pemberdayaan masyarakat di tingkat desa melalui kolaborasi mahasiswa, masyarakat, dan mitra.
