Tuesday, July 18, 2023 – The Physics Team of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Universitas Negeri Semarang (FMIPA UNNES) and the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at Universitas Tanjungpura (FKIP UNTAN) organized a guest lecture event that opened up opportunities for research and joint publication collaboration, as well as collaborative management and development of journals. The event, which took place in the main hall of FKIP UNNES, was attended by a number of professors and academic officials from both universities.

The purpose of this guest lecture activity is to enhance collaboration between the two universities in terms of research, publication, and the development of scientific journals. It is hoped that this increased collaboration will greatly benefit the advancement of science and the field of education in Indonesia.

Dean of FKIP UNTAN, Dr. Ahmad Yani T, M.Pd., expressed his enthusiasm and commitment to establishing a close collaboration with FMIPA UNNES. In his speech, he stated, “The collaboration between FKIP UNTAN and FMIPA UNNES is a strategic step in facing the challenges and opportunities in the increasingly complex world of education. Through this collaboration, we can share knowledge, experience, and expertise in order to achieve higher-quality research results.”

The event was also attended by several Vice Deans (VD) from both faculties, namely VD1, VD2, and VD3 from FKIP UNTAN, as well as the Head of the Physics Education Study Program at FKIP UNTAN. They actively participated in discussions and dialogues regarding opportunities for cross-university research collaboration.

One of the highlights of this event was the discussion on the plan for a fast track cross-university program between FMIPA UNNES and FKIP UNTAN. This plan is expected to facilitate and expedite the exchange of information, research, and publications between the two faculties.

During the Q&A session, many students from FKIP UNTAN showed their enthusiasm to participate in this collaboration. They saw opportunities to contribute to research and the development of scientific knowledge through collaboration with partner universities.

At the end of the event, a declaration of cooperation agreement was signed by representatives from each university, marking the official commitment to initiate closer collaboration in the field of research and journal development.

Prof. Putut Marwoto, the Head of the Physics Team at FMIPA UNNES, expressed his hopes, stating, “We hope that this event will be a good starting point for establishing a strong relationship between FMIPA UNNES and FKIP UNTAN. This collaboration will have a positive impact on the development of education and research in both institutions.”

With a high spirit of collaboration, FMIPA UNNES and FKIP UNTAN plan to continue and implement this collaboration with various programs and activities that will benefit both parties and the field of education as a whole.
