The Master’s Program (S2) in English Education, Faculty of Languages and Arts (FBS), Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), underwent an Accreditation Site Visit conducted by the Independent Accreditation Agency for Education (LAMDIK) on June 12–13, 2026. The site visit constituted a crucial stage in the accreditation process aimed at evaluating and ensuring the quality of higher education in accordance with national standards and the principles of continuous quality improvement.
The assessment was carried out by two distinguished assessors appointed by LAMDIK: Prof. Dr. Putu Kerti Nitiasih, M.A. from Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha and Prof. Amirullah, S.Pd., M.Ed., Ph.D. from Universitas Negeri Makassar. Throughout the visit, the assessors conducted verification and validation of the accreditation documents while evaluating various aspects of the study program’s academic and administrative performance.
The site visit commenced with an opening session attended by university leaders, faculty management, program administrators, lecturers, educational staff, students, alumni, and employer representatives. During the assessment, the assessors engaged in discussions and interviews with stakeholders to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the program’s governance, curriculum implementation, learning processes, research and community service activities, partnerships, and graduate achievements. The assessors also reviewed the facilities and infrastructure that support academic activities and student development.
The two-day assessment was conducted smoothly and productively, reflecting the strong commitment of all stakeholders to quality assurance and institutional excellence. The assessors provided valuable feedback and recommendations that are expected to support the continuous improvement of the Master’s Program in English Education. These insights will contribute to strengthening the program’s academic quality, enhancing its responsiveness to global developments, and reinforcing its competitiveness at both national and international levels.
The accreditation site visit marks an important milestone in the program’s ongoing efforts to foster a culture of quality and excellence. Through this comprehensive evaluation process, the Master’s Program in English Education at FBS UNNES is expected to further enhance its capacity to produce professional, innovative, and globally competitive graduates who can make meaningful contributions to the advancement of English language education and society.
