Semarang, October 23, 2023 – Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) held the Socialization of UNNES Higher Education Standards on Monday, October 23, 2023. The activity was part of UNNES’s efforts to strengthen understanding and implementation of Higher Education Standards as a foundation for academic management and quality assurance throughout the university.
The socialization was attended by university leaders, faculty representatives, the Graduate School, and study program management. Participants included the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Head of the Quality Assurance Center (KPM), Secretary of KPM, Vice Deans for Academic Affairs from FIPP, FBS, FISIP, FMIPA, FT, FIK, FEB, FH, and FK, Vice Director I of the Graduate School, Head of the KPM Center for Quality Analysis and Assurance, Head of the KPM Higher Education Data Center, all UNNES Study Program Coordinators, and KPM Academic Staff.
Through this activity, participants gained a more comprehensive understanding of the standards that must be fulfilled in the implementation of higher education, including the application of standards at the university, faculty, Graduate School, and study program levels.
The socialization also served as a forum to establish a shared understanding among managers across various organizational units in implementing higher education standards. This shared understanding is expected to support the implementation of academic processes that are systematic, measurable, and sustainable in accordance with UNNES’s Internal Quality Assurance System.
The involvement of all Study Program Coordinators was an important component in ensuring that the Higher Education Standards could be implemented consistently at the study program level. Thus, the processes of planning, implementation, evaluation, control, and continuous improvement of academic quality can be carried out systematically and sustainably.
The Socialization of UNNES Higher Education Standards is expected to further strengthen the commitment of the entire academic community to developing a quality culture and improving the quality of higher education at UNNES.
