Institute for Educational and Professional Development (LP3) Establishes Programs and Commitments toward UNNES' Independent

The development of science and technology as well as social change in the era of industrial revolution 4.0 requires higher education institutions to educate prospective educators and education staff to respond appropriately. In this case Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) as part of the leading Institute of Teacher’s Education  (LPTK) in Indonesia must take a leading role by developing appropriate programs.
The Institute for Educational and Professional Development (LP3) UNNES has a significant role in fulfilling these demands. Therefore, at a work meeting that lasted for 2 (two) days (February 28-March 1, 2019) in Solo, LP3 reiterated its commitment to contribute fully. The event, which was attended by all LP3 leaders and staff, was also attended by UNNES Rector Prof Dr Fathur Rokhman MHum who gave direction on what programs need to be prioritized by LP3 in 2019.
“The development of curriculum that is able to respond to the industrial revolution 4.0 needs to be prioritized so that UNNES can truly equip its graduates with the knowledge, competencies, and values ​​needed to be able to survive and develop optimally in the present era. Learning innovations also needs to be emphasized so that UNNES can become an internationally reputed LPTK,” said Prof. Dr. Fathur Rokhman MHum
The LP3 work meeting was preceded by an evaluation of the work program achievements in 2018 by the LP3 internal quality assurance agency, followed by the strengthening of the program by several centers and clusters led directly by the Chairperson of LP3 Dr Sugianto MSi, on this occasion a welcome speech was also delivered by the previous Chairperson of LP3 Dr Abdurrahman MPd who is the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs for the time being. In his message, Mr Dur, his nickname, hoped that LP3 would remain harmonious, with a harmonious work environment, the LP3’s vision and mission would be achieved optimally.
