How to Apply for the 2026 SNBT? You Should Know!

For those of you aiming for State Universities (PTN), the SNBT (National Selection Based on Test) is one of the main battlegrounds. This selection pathway focuses entirely on the Computer Based Written Test (UTBK).

Beyond practicing questions, there is a step you cannot afford to miss: understanding the SNBT 2026 requirements. Ensuring all administrative requirements are met is crucial so you can register and take the exam. Don’t let technical issues hinder your preparation.

Let’s break down the registration requirements for SNBT 2026!

Mandatory Requirements for SNBT 2026 Participants

Although specific details may change at any time, based on the patterns of previous years, here are the main requirements:

1. SNPMB Account Ownership

This is an absolute requirement. Every participant must have a permanently saved SNPMB (National Selection for New Student Admissions) account. This is your digital identity throughout the selection process.

    2. Indonesian Citizen (WNI)

You must be an Indonesian citizen and hold a valid Resident Identity Number (NIK).

      3. Student Status and Age Limit

Generally, SNBT is open to Grade 12 students of SMA/SMK/MA or equivalent in 2026. It is also open to graduates from 2025 and 2024 (Package C is also allowed). There is usually a maximum age limit, typically 22 years old as of July 1, 2026.

        4. Not an SNBP 2026 Recipient (Important Rule!)

This is a crucial “blackout” rule. Students who have been declared accepted via the SNBP 2026 pathway (or SNBP 2025/2024) CANNOT register for the SNBT 2026 pathway. This requires you to be very strategic in choosing your entry pathway.

          5. Health Requirements

All participants must be in good health. However, certain study programs (especially in Sports, Arts, and Medicine) will impose additional health requirements, such as not being color blind, which you must check at your target study program.

            6. Portfolio (Specifically for Sports and Arts Majors)

For those choosing study programs in Arts or Sports, you are required to upload a portfolio according to the guidelines. This is a key part of your assessment.
