The role of higher education institutions in advancing academic contributions at the global level continues to be demonstrated through faculty participation in international scientific forums. Such engagement reflects the commitment of universities to advancing knowledge and expanding cross-border academic networks.
This commitment is exemplified by Prof. Dr. Tandiyo Rahayu, M.Pd., a lecturer at Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), who served as a presenter at the International Conference on Sports Nutrition and Supplements (ICSNP-2025). The conference was held on 11-12 December 2025 at the Institute of Engineers and Researchers in Barcelona, Spain.
The participation of a UNNES faculty member in this international scientific forum underscores the contribution of the university’s academic community to the advancement of sports science, particularly in the field of athlete nutrition. Beyond serving as a platform for scholarly dissemination, the conference also strengthened global academic networks and opened opportunities for international research collaboration.
Prof. Tandiyo Rahayu’s presence at ICSNP-2025 is expected to contribute positively to the development of sports nutrition research in Indonesia while further expanding international academic partnerships involving UNNES.
Prof. Dr. Tandiyo Rahayu’s academic focus on athlete nutrition and the advancement of sports science aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). His work supports SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) by promoting improved health and well-being among athletes. Participation in international academic forums also advances SDG 4 (Quality Education) through the strengthening of high-quality education and research.
Furthermore, the international networks and research collaborations fostered through such engagements are consistent with SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), reinforcing global partnerships in support of sustainable development.
