Dr. Anuradha Mathrani from Massey University, Auckland, New Zealand and Pol Comr Dr Nursamran Subandi MSi Head of Semarang Branch Forensic Laboratory became a guest lecturer in the public lecture on the Academic Field of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), Thursday (3/28). The activity was attended by 176 students from FMIPA.
The Dean of FMIPA UNNES Prof Dr Sudarmin MSi in his remarks delivered, this public lecture was in order to support the Vision of UNNES namely Conservation and International-reputed University.
Dr Sudarmin hopes that this activity can provide new knowledge for all FMIPA students both who study in the Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Integrated Science, and Computer Science Departments.
Dr Anuradha Mathrani delivered the material on Gender Diversity Population Simulations in Extended Game of Life Context, a simulation of the control of a population where players are given the power to control the lives of people or beings autonomously. Artificial life games are included in the study of computer science, but in their application they can be applied in other scientific contexts.
Whereas Dr Nursamran Subandi MSi who is also a toxicology expert on toxic coffee cases Jessica-Mirna presented material about Forensic Science as an Interdisciplinary and Multidisciplinary Science. In its implementation, forensic science cannot be separated from other sciences. The interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary concepts are very logical to uncover a criminal or civil case.
Cross-cutting science is a trend in the era of industrial revolution 4.0. This activity provides insight to students about the urgency of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary sciences in dealing with problems in real life. Thus, students from across departments at FMIPA can work together in conducting scientific research and studies.
