9 FT UNNES Student Teams Win at the RIPC 2026 International Scientific Poster Competition

Nine student teams from the Faculty of Engineering at Universitas Negeri Semarang (FT UNNES) achieved success at the international “Final Year Project & Postgraduate: Research & Innovation Poster Competition” (RIPC) organized by MNNF Network Malaysia on September 5, 2026. Through their participation, FT UNNES students brought home three Gold Awards, four Silver Awards, and two Bronze Awards in the undergraduate category.

These achievements were secured across two competition categories: Category C1 (STEM—Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and Category C2 (Social Sciences and Humanities). The nine award-winning teams came from the Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Education, and Automotive Engineering Education study programs.

RIPC 2026 is an international research and innovation poster competition that serves as a platform for students and researchers to present research findings, innovative ideas, and creative solutions via scientific posters. In the 2026 edition, the competition received 166 entries from seven countries: Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Thailand, Türkiye, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar. All entries were evaluated by 57 experienced judges, with each project assessed by at least two experts.

FT UNNES Electrical Engineering students secured three awards in Category C1 (STEM), comprising one Silver Award and two Bronze Awards. The Silver Award was won by a team led by Kariim Jafarrasiq Narapernama, with members Muhammad Yusuf Amin and Emir Zilullah Pires Ponulele. Meanwhile, the first Bronze Award went to a team led by Muhammad Fachal Anami, alongside Rayyan Bahrul Ulum Mahfudz. The second Bronze Award was earned by a team led by Bevanda Aurellia Keyza, with members Muhammad Hanif Maulana and Valentino Ruben.

Further success was achieved by students from the FT UNNES Mechanical Engineering Education study program in Category C2 (Social Sciences and Humanities), where two teams won one Gold Award and one Silver Award, respectively. A Gold Award was won by the team led by Tunggul Ulung Adi Kusumo, alongside Ridlon Ali Imron. Meanwhile, a Silver Award went to the team led by Muhammad Ghufron Purnama, alongside Afix Zulfikri.

The highest number of awards was achieved by students from the Automotive Engineering Education Study Program at the Faculty of Engineering, UNNES. Four teams competing in Category C2 (Social Sciences and Humanities) successfully secured two Gold Awards and two Silver Awards. The first Gold Award was won by the team led by Faisal Rasya Susanto, with members Mohamad Bimastian and Dimas Muhamad Restu Maulid. The second Gold Award went to the team led by Azkal Azkiya Arrazy, alongside Kaffa Serena Nur Hayati and Nungky Eka Saputra.
In the Silver Award category, the first award was won by the team led by Mohamad Bimastian, alongside Faisal Rasya Susanto and Dimas Muhamad Restu Maulid. The second Silver Award was secured by the team led by Dimas Muhamad Restu Maulid, with members Mohamad Bimastian and Faisal Rasya Susanto.
