UNNES Civil Engineering Students Join International Double Degree Program at MUST, Taiwan

The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering (FT) at UNNES, Prof. Dr. Wirawan Sumbodo, M.T., saw off Civil Engineering students departing to pursue a double degree program at Minghsin University of Science and Technology (MUST) in Taiwan. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of education and student experience while supporting SDG 4 (Quality Education)—aligning with UNNES’s vision of becoming a world-class university. The send-off ceremony, led by the Dean, took place on August 31, 2026, in front of the FT UNNES Dean’s Office building.

The students participating in the International Double Degree Program are:

• Venella Merlin Pereira da Costa (2305020176)

The program spans two years: one year of academic study at Minghsin University of Science and Technology (MUST) in Taiwan, followed by one year of work experience in Taiwan. This initiative offers significant benefits for the students’ experience and career prospects, providing them with the opportunity to both study and work abroad. Dean Prof. Dr. Wirawan Sumbodo, M.T. strongly emphasized the importance of the students approaching the program with dedication and applying the knowledge and experience gained to advance the nation. Endah Kanti Pangestuti, S.T., M.T., the Coordinator of the Civil Engineering Undergraduate Study Program, also provided her full support to ensure the success of this International Double Degree program. It is hoped that this international collaboration will continue in the future.
