The Architecture Study Program at the Faculty of Engineering, UNNES, continues to strengthen educational internationalization through its International Student Mobility program. This year, international mobility activities are being carried out through international field study trips and student exchange programs with various universities across Southeast Asia.
Forty students will participate in international field study trips to Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. A key part of the agenda is an academic visit to the Department of Architecture & Built Environment at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, which aims to broaden students’ perspectives on education, architecture, and the built environment within an international context.
Additionally, the Architecture Study Program is sending six students to participate in a student exchange program at the College of Architecture, Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST), Philippines. This exchange program, which began last year, is expected to continue as part of efforts to strengthen academic cooperation between the two institutions.
International mobility initiatives also include sending two students to the Architecture Program at the Faculty of Architecture and Fine Arts, Yersin University of Dalat, Vietnam. This activity offers students the opportunity to gain learning experience in an international academic environment and broaden their cross-cultural understanding.
These activities support the achievement of Key Performance Indicator (IKU) 2—specifically, students gaining learning experiences outside the campus—and strengthen IKU 6 by developing collaborations with international partners. The program also contributes to SDG 4 (Quality Education) by enhancing the quality of student learning and experience, as well as SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by strengthening international university partnerships.
Through the International Student Mobility program, the Architecture Study Program at the Faculty of Engineering, UNNES, aims to enhance students’ competencies and global perspectives while expanding sustainable international collaboration networks.
