June 20, 2025 – The Civil Engineering and Building Construction Education Study Programs have been appointed by the Director General of Early Childhood Education (PAUD) to oversee the PAUD Revitalization Program in the Central Java region. Lecturers from these study programs serve as facilitators for the initiative, supporting national policies and SDG 16. To support the 2025 PAUD Unit Revitalization Program, the Commitment-Making Official (PPK) of the Directorate of PAUD has assigned higher education institutions—as listed in the attachment—to act as partners for the program. Their duties and responsibilities include assisting the Directorate of PAUD with resource preparation, monitoring, and reporting regarding the revitalization of PAUD units.

The duties and functions performed in overseeing the PAUD revitalization program in the Central Java region include:

  • developing a monitoring work plan for the Educational Unit Revitalization Program;
  • monitoring and reviewing planning outcomes produced by the educational units;
  • monitoring and reviewing construction execution and furniture procurement carried out by the educational units;
  • monitoring and reviewing all documentation—including revisions to planning documents—produced by the educational units;
  • providing recommendations regarding issues faced by educational units during the implementation of the Revitalization Program; and reporting and coordinating the results of the Educational Unit Revitalization Program monitoring with all stakeholders.

The FT UNNES lecturers assigned to this task include:

  • Drs. Bambang Sugiyarto, M.T. (Head of the Self-Managed Implementation Team)
  • Prof. Dr. Rini Kusumawardani, ST, MT, M.Sc (Coordinator 1)
  • Ir. Didik Nopianto Agung Nugradi, M.T. (Coordinator 2)
  • Arief Kusbiantoro, ST, MT, Ph.D
  • Diharto, S.T., M.Si.
  • Listiyono Budi, S.Pd., M.T.
  • Dimas Gustoro, S.T., M.T.

  • Endah Kanti Pangestuti, S.T., M.T.
  • Moch Fathoni Setiawan, S.T., M.T.
  • Andi Purnomo, S.T., MA.

UNNES Civil Engineering lecturers are involved by providing guidance, monitoring, and conducting on-site inspections of the revitalization work at various Early Childhood Education (PAUD) institutions. These activities encompass assessing building conditions, tracking physical construction progress, ensuring alignment between execution and planning, and coordinating with the educational institutions.

Leveraging their expertise in civil engineering, UNNES lecturers contribute to ensuring that the revitalization process results in educational facilities that are safer, more suitable, comfortable, and aligned with the learning needs of early childhood students. This initiative also serves as an implementation of the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Pillars of Higher Education) by directly applying academic expertise to enhance the quality of education.

The program also supports the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, particularly by strengthening the governance of educational development programs to ensure they are accountable, transparent, participatory, and based on inter-institutional collaboration. The synergy between UNNES, the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen), and the educational institutions is expected to facilitate targeted revitalization efforts and deliver sustainable benefits to the community.
