Semarang, June 15, 2026 – Akaat Hasjiandito, M.Pd., a lecturer in the Early Childhood Education Teacher Education (PGPAUD) Study Program, Faculty of Education and Psychology (FIPP), Semarang State University (UNNES), was assigned as a resource person for the Integrated Digitalization Learning Competency Strengthening Program, Coding and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Formal PAUD Units. Organized by the Semarang City Education Office, the event took place on June 15, 17, 18, and 19, 2026, at the P4G UPGRIS Building in Semarang.
The training was officially opened by the Head of the Semarang City Education Office, Dr. Muhammad Ahsan, S.Ag., M.Kom. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of improving the competency of early childhood education (PAUD) teachers in facing the digital transformation, so that educators can utilize technology as a tool to create innovative, creative, and child-centered learning.
As a resource person, Akaat Hasjiandito, M.Pd., delivered material on strengthening teacher competency in integrating coding and Artificial Intelligence (AI) into early childhood learning. The material covered an introduction to computational thinking, the implementation of coding activities appropriate to the characteristics of early childhood, and the use of various AI-based technologies to help teachers design more interactive media and learning activities.
According to Akaat Hasjiandito, digital transformation in early childhood education must remain oriented towards the principle of learning through play. Technology does not replace the role of teachers, but rather serves as a tool that helps teachers create more meaningful, enjoyable, and relevant learning experiences.
During the training, participants participated in material presentation sessions, discussions, practical sessions using digital learning media, and shared good practices in implementing coding and AI in PAUD units. Through these activities, it is hoped that teachers will be able to develop learning that is adaptive to technological developments while still considering the developmental aspects and learning needs of children.
The participation of Akaat Hasjiandito, M.Pd., as a resource person demonstrates the active contribution of FIPP UNNES lecturers in supporting the improvement of early childhood education teacher competencies through strengthening digital literacy and learning innovation. This collaboration between the university and the local government is a crucial part of accelerating educational transformation in Semarang City.
