SEMARANG – The synergy between universities and law enforcement institutions is key to achieving precise justice. Recognizing this, Semarang State University (UNNES) officially established a strategic partnership with the Central Java Regional Police (Polda Jateng). This collaborative commitment was realized through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) held on Thursday (March 5, 2026) at the Multi-Purpose Building (GSG), 3rd Floor Dean’s Office, Faculty of Law, UNNES. This agreement serves as a strong legal foundation for both parties to collaborate in education, research, and community service. The signing ceremony was attended by officers from Polda Jateng and university leaders. Representing the university, UNNES Vice Rector 4 also attended to deliver a speech and oversee the formalization of this strategic partnership.
Vice Rector 4 stated that the signing of this cooperation is the result of intensive communication that has been built previously between the educational institution and law enforcement officials. “This is one of the implementations or follow-ups of the memorandum of understanding between the Indonesian National Police and Semarang State University that has already been signed,” he explained. Through this cooperation signing, UNNES and the Central Java Police agree to fill the gap between academic theory and field practice. Students and lecturers will gain better access to understand the realities of law enforcement directly, while the police can utilize academic work from the campus to improve public order services.
