SEMARANG – The Faculty of Law at Semarang State University (UNNES) continues to prove its commitment to improving the quality of education and the scientific publications of its academic community. On June 13, 2026, FH UNNES successfully held an academic event titled “Literature Review and Journal Utilization: Strategies for Writing Quality Dissertations to Support Education and Sustainable Innovation.”
This training activity was specifically designed to enhance the academic skills of the participants, especially in terms of utilizing reputable scientific journals. The organizers recognize that the main foundation of high-quality research lies in the ability to create a literature review that is systematic, sharp, and relevant to the latest developments in the field.
Through this scientific forum, participants are equipped with very comprehensive technical and strategic insights. The material covered includes effective strategies for literature search, techniques for identifying research gaps, and guidelines on how to make the most of scientific reference sources. All of this is aimed at supporting academics in creating dissertations that are not only theoretically strong but also highly competitive both nationally and globally.
Furthermore, this research capacity-building initiative is a direct manifestation of FH UNNES’s support for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The implementation of this activity focuses on two main pillars:
- SDG 4 (Quality Education): Ensuring that the higher education process, especially at the stage of preparing final projects/dissertations, follows very good and structured research quality standards.
- SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure): Encouraging the emergence of new innovative ideas in the field of law through strengthening a culture of research and sustainable scientific publication literacy.
- With this activity taking place, FH UNNES hopes to continue producing legal researchers and scholars who are critical, innovative, and able to provide thoughtful solutions for the advancement of the nation.
