FE UNNES Selenggarakan Virtual International Conference

Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) menyelenggarakan International Conference on Economics, Business and Economics Education Science (ICE-BEES) 2020 dengan tema “Enhancing Environmental Quality Through Research on Economics, Business and Education” yang diselenggarakan secara daring melalui aplikasi ZOOM dan ditayangkan langsung melalui kanal Youtube FE UNNES, Rabu (22/7) .

Penyelenggaaraan ICE-BEES tahun ini merupakan kerjasama yang antara FE UNNES, Universiti Teknologi Mara Malaysia, Universitas Diponegoro Semarang dan Universitas Negeri Jakarta yang dilaksanakan selama dua hari dari 22 Juli s.d 23 Juli 2020.

Kegiatan ini secara resmi dibuka (secara daring) oleh Wakil Rektor Bidang Akademik UNNES, Prof Dr Zaenuri SE M Si Akt. Dalam sambutannya, pimpinan kampus memberikan apresiasi setinggi-tingginya dan mendukung penuh atas terselenggaranya ICE-BEES 2020 ini. Selain itu, Dekan FE, Drs Heri Yanto MBA Ph D juga turut memberikan sambutan pembuka dan penyemangat pagi atas terselenggaranya kegiatan internasional kali ini yang dihadiri oleh ratusan presenter dari berbagai negara di dunia.

Dalam sesi materi diisi oleh 3 narasumber yang ahli di bidangnya Dr Mohd Asri Mohd Noor (Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris Malaysia) sebagai pemateri pertama memberikan orasi ilmiah dengan judul “Education Policy and Management Practices During Covid-19 Pandemic in Malaysia”. Kemudian dilanjutkan oleh pemateri kedua, yaitu Dorojatun Prihandono Ph D (Dosen FE UNNES) dengan judul “Are We Prepare for The New Normal? Foreseeing Opportunities Using Knowledge Management to Access Broader Businesses Sustainability”. Terakhir, adalah materi dari Andre Rodrigues de Aquino (Senior Natural Resources Management Specialist, World Bank) dengan orasi berjudul “Protecting Natural Assets for Enduring Prosperity”.

Adapun intisari dari ketiga narasumber adalah bahwa segala bidang termasuk pendidikan dan ekonomi harus bisa beradaptasi dan segera bangkit kembali dengan menerapkan strategi pengelolaan yang terintegrasi. Ada 6 hal utama yang perlu diperhatikan, yaitu crisis management, workforce, supply chain, tax and trade, finance and liquidity, strategy and brand. Selain itu, diperlukan kerjasama yang kuat dari segala bidang mulai dari pemerintah, swasta, dan juga masyarakat dalam memulihkan keadaan yang ada akibat pandemik ini.

Yozi A Rahman, selaku Ketua Panitia, menyatakan bahwa jumlah peserta telah memenuhi target yang ditetapkan. Jumlah peserta sebanyak 166 presenter yang berasal dari empat negara; yaitu Indonesia, Australia, Taiwan dan Malaysia. Kegiatan ini tidak hanya dilakukan pemaparan materi oleh para pembicara saja, akan tetapi para peserta dapat mempresentasikan hasil penelitiannya secara daring. Selain itu juga, dilakukan Workshop yang memberikan panduan dan strategi untuk dapat mempublikasikan di jurnal-jurnal bereputasi.

ICE-BEES 2020 merupakan Kegiatan ICE-BEES ketiga yang digelar oleh FE UNNES. Antuasisme peserta setiap tahunnya semakin bertambah, hal ini membuktikan bahwa kepercayaan dari para dosen/peneliti semakin tinggi terhadap kegiatan ini.
