The Faculty of Languages and Arts (FBS), Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES), successfully organized the Faculty-Level Outstanding Student Selection (Pilmapres) 2026 as part of its strategic efforts to foster excellent, competitive, and globally oriented students. The final stage of the event was held on Tuesday, 20 January 2026, at FBS UNNES.
The event was officially opened by the Vice Dean II of FBS, Dr. Muhamad Burhanudin, S.S., M.A. In his opening remarks, he emphasized that Pilmapres is a crucial faculty agenda aligned with institutional quality assurance and performance indicators.
“The Outstanding Student Selection not only evaluates academic achievements, but also leadership, innovation, and students’ real contributions to society. This activity directly supports the achievement of the university’s Key Performance Indicators (KPI/IKU), particularly in terms of student achievements and graduate readiness,” he stated.
The Pilmapres FBS UNNES 2026 series commenced on 2 January 2026 with a participant briefing session attended by 30 students, comprising two representatives from each of the 15 undergraduate study programs within FBS. This was followed by the achievement portfolio selection stage, which resulted in 10 finalists advancing to the final round.
The finalists then participated in the presentation and interview stage on 20 January 2026, where they presented innovative ideas, academic and non-academic achievements, and future contribution plans related to language, literature, arts, and education in both national and global contexts.
Based on the jury’s evaluation, the winners of the Pilmapres FBS UNNES 2026 were announced as follows:
- First Place: Audya Nilam Nariswari, Undergraduate Program in Indonesian Language and Literature Education
- Second Place: Muhammad Robit Farikh, Undergraduate Program in Javanese Literature
- Third Place: Rabbani Andar Azizan, Undergraduate Program in French Literature
The First and Second Place winners will subsequently represent the Faculty of Languages and Arts at the Outstanding Student Selection at the university level of Universitas Negeri Semarang.
The event was officially closed by the Vice Dean III of FBS, Dr. Eko Raharjo, M.Hum. He highlighted that Pilmapres plays a vital role in strengthening UNNES’ international reputation.
“Outstanding students are strategic assets for both the faculty and the university. Through Pilmapres, FBS contributes to the achievement of IKU while strengthening UNNES’ pathway toward becoming a World Class University (WCU) by nurturing adaptive, high-achieving, and globally competitive students,” he remarked.
Through the implementation of Pilmapres FBS UNNES 2026, the faculty hopes to continuously cultivate a culture of excellence and innovation among students, while preparing the best representatives to compete at the university, national, and international levels.
