Fourth-semester students from the Fine Arts Education Study Program at the Faculty of Languages and Arts, Universitas Negeri Semarang, hosted a creative bazaar titled Collecting Pieces Bazaar on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at the FBS UNNES Basketball Court.
Emphasizing a “from students for students” concept, this bazaar featured various stands selling works produced from their coursework. A major highlight was a photo booth with an art theme involving face illustration. For just Rp12,000, visitors could get a live face sketch from a student. This experience quickly became a crowd favourite, offering a personal and artistic memento.
Sketch Jamming was equally appealing. It was an open-expression area where visitors could unleash their creativity by doodling ink on paper. This activity was designed to allow visitors to express themselves visually. The event concluded with Music Tune, a live music session featuring acoustic performances by the Fine Arts students.
One visitor, Aulia Salsabila, shared her impressions of the event. “I bought many items from the exhibition because the prices were affordable. The organizers were also friendly and delightful. The event was incredibly fun and unique!” she remarked.
The Committee head, Wanto Susilo Rahayu, explained that students had been preparing for this event for several months. “The study program was very supportive and gave students space to be creative,” he elaborated.
Gunadi S.Pd., M.Pd., the lecturer for the Entrepreneurship course, explained that the bazaar was part of a final course project designed to showcase the entrepreneurial products students developed over the semester. “This isn’t just an assignment; it’s a platform for students’ self-actualization. They learn to sell their work, manage an event, and interact directly with the market,” he stated. (Ika Rizki Refima Putri/Student Staff Humas FBS UNNES/*)
