Two students from the Faculty of Languages and Arts at Universitas Negeri Semarang (FBS UNNES) clinched victory in the National Nembang Macapat Student Competition. The event was organized by the Regional Literature program at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), in Surakarta on May 28, 2025.
Ajeng Rahmadanniyanti, a 2024 student from the Javanese Language and Literature Education program at FBS UNNES, claimed first place in the female category. A student from UNS took second place, and a student from Universitas Negeri Surabaya (Unesa) secured third.
Meanwhile, Aulia Fathurrahman, a 2024 student from the Javanese Education and Literature study program at FBS UNNES, successfully secured second place in the male competition category. A student from UNS took first place, while a student from Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) took third.
The competition was mentored by Indrawan Nur Cahyono, S.Sn., Suhasto, S.Sn., and Sungging Widagdo, S.Pd., M.Pd. In total, UNNES sent 13 students to participate in this competition.
FBS UNNES’s dean, Prof. Dr. Tommi Yuniawan, M.Hum., and the entire FBS UNNES family congratulated both students on their achievements. They triumphed over dozens of other participants from various universities across Indonesia. The faculty remains committed to fostering student achievement in both academic and non-academic fields.
